Low Carbon Project Officer
Amy is the lead for the Scottish Cities Alliance Low Carbon workstream. Before joining the Alliance, Amy worked in sustainability and low carbon roles in both the public and private sector. She has an MSc in Applied Carbon Management.
Amy leads on collaborative projects with the themes of energy efficiency, low carbon heat, energy systems and the circular economy. The circular economy is all about keeping natural resources in use for as long as possible, maximising their potential and then recovering and regenerating products and materials at the end of the life cycle. Amy recognises the important role that Scotland's Cities have, particularly through the Scottish Cities Alliance, in supporting, developing and enabling the low carbon economy.

Jonathan is responsible for overseeing the delivery of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Strategic Intervention entitled ‘Scotland’s 8th City – the Smart City’.
Prior to working on this Smart Cities programme, Jonathan had 15 years of experience as a manager within the urban regeneration field. Key areas of responsibility included: project development and management, establishing and supporting governance structures, coordination of European and national funding programmes, commissioning of research, monitoring and evaluation and financial management and reporting.

National Future Cities Development Manager
Lucille Brown leads the Scottish Cities Alliance's Smart Cities efforts, with goals of enhancing shared learning across the partners and maximising the impact of Smart Cities activity in Scotland.
Lucille joined the Alliance in 2014, having studied law at Oxford University, and achieving a Masters in Sustainability Science from Lund University in Sweden.
Prior to taking up her position with the Alliance, Lucille spent a year working with Community and Engagement for Future City Glasgow, the £24 million UK Future Cities Demonstrator Programme funded by Innovate UK.

Investment Promotion Co-ordinator
Fiona Buchanan is the Scottish Cities Alliance Investment Promotion Co-ordinator, with a strong background in international project and event management.
Working closely with the Investment Promotion Working Group, Fiona helps to deliver the Alliance's presence at international events such as MIPIM, in a bid to help attract potential investors to Scotland by presenting the raft of prime investment opportunities across Scotland's cities and their regions.

Aileen has worked in a number of senior strategic and operational roles in economic development, city region development and social housing in both Scotland and New Zealand.
As Programme Director Aileen’s focus is to raise the profile of the Scottish Cities Alliance and facilitate and support SCA partners to achieve their ambitions for economic growth through the delivery of the Alliance’s Operational Plan.

Hydrogen Project Officer
Fiona is working on a number of hydrogen projects, including an EU project with the Fuel Cell Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (FCH-JU). This project is about the development of commercialisation of hydrogen fuel cell buses and hydrogen refuelling infrastructure.
Before joining the Alliance, Fiona worked in the energy industry, during the last five years she worked within the renewables sector. Prior to this, Fiona held a senior management role for over ten years within the ICT sector - mobile data technology.

Infrastructure Project Manager
Kate has over 18 years’ experience working in Economic Development and infrastructure delivery in Scotland, across central Scotland and Tayside in both the public and private sector.
She is a Chartered Surveyor with a strong track record of multi-stakeholder projects and partnership delivery across Tayside and central Scotland. Most recently, she led the innovative Estates and Commercial Investment property initiative across the Perth city region to secure delivery of serviced land and property for economic growth.
Her role at the Alliance is to ensure collaboration across the seven Scottish cities and key stakeholders to help attract investment, create business opportunities and deliver sustainable economic growth. Key to this is to identify emerging investable opportunities in housing and commercial developments and to enhance collaborative city activity in both digital and transport infrastructure.

Iain is a qualified solicitor with a post graduate qualification in Housing Services. He has worked in a range of roles across the private and public sector in Scotland.
As Policy Manager with the Scottish Cities Alliance, Iain oversees the Alliance’s research activity and the policy alignment of its Operational Programme, identifying opportunities for collaboration. Iain also leads on the implementation of the Alliance’s European Action Plan.

Isabel is the Scottish Cities Alliance’s Administrator, managing the day-to-day operations, running the office and providing essential support to the rest of the team. She also works with the seven Scottish cities to distribute and monitor the Cities Investment Fund. Prior to joining the Alliance, Isabel was Service Delivery Manager with Glasgow City Council, where she was employed for 33 years, and held a variety of roles.

Investment Promotion Manager
Stephen leads the Scottish Cities Alliance's Investment Promotion focus, to attract capital investment to Scotland, by identifying and targeting potential investors and introducing them to the opportunities presented by Scotland’s seven cities.
With over 20 years of experience in international business environments including 12 years attracting investment to Glasgow and Scotland, and two advising stakeholders in Iceland on FDI strategies, Stephen espouses the importance of collaboration and building partnerships bringing together private and public sectors to ensure optimal and mutual success.
